I finished my first semester of nursing school!! Only a year and a half left.. which is kind of a scary feeling.. because I know I have so much to learn still. But thinking back over this semester, I've realized I have already learned so much! Although its been really stressful, its also been a lot of fun. Especially because of the friends I've made through school. We were put into groups of 10, and I think I got the best 10 girls! We all get along so well, and have a lot of fun together. We have group parties, study sessions, and some of us went on trips together! When you spend all day everyday together, you really get close. I'm just really happy with life and school right now, I'm loving it!
Here's my group of 10 girls.. love these girls!
in our community uniforms, we got to teach preschool kids! I taught them about Halloween Safety (me and my partner dressed up, and I think we might have scared some of them!)
With "Seymore Butts"... as our instructors call him. Love our teachers! haha
We made "D7" t-shirts - they are blinding.. (D7 is the name of our group of 10 girls)
after inserting an NG tube.. after learning this and learning to give shots and clean wounds, I actually am starting to feel kind of like a nurse!:)
In our nursing home, where we got our 1st real patient! this place was the nicest i've ever seen. it looked like a fancy hotel inside!
This is Bonnie.. her and I probably goof around more than we work, but it has kept me sane during this crazy semester! haha
Martha, our instructor, took us out to eat after our last day of clinicals!
Four of us got to go to Disneyland together! We left right after our final! Sad our whole group couldnt go.. but we had a blast! This was my first time on the tower of terror.. i didn't realize the creepy guys until we looked at the picture later! haha
Although its been the busiest semester of my life, its also been the most fun/exciting one I've had! I've had a blast, and I'm looking forward to the next few semesters!:)

The real life Glee
So I just discovered "The Sing Off".. and i think it is my new favorite! on the commercials they said it was going to be like a "real life glee" but i think its much better! it is an all-voice competetion, and it is AMAZING! im get obsessed very easily with anything that has to do with music (you can ask my family, they would probably say its annoying!) but i seriously love this show.
This is The Street Corner Symphony.. my favorites! the lead singer has an amazing voice. And the guy with the hat and glasses looks just like John Lennon!
and this is Jerry Lawson and the Talk of the Town...These guys are so fun!. Their voices arent my favorites, but they are fun to watch! i really like the little guy with crazy hair and teeth that sings the high parts! haha
But my family has had so much fun watching this! Even my dad starting singing along...:) haha sorry there's so many videos, it was hard to narrow them down because I loved them all!

San Fransisco!
So it has been a long time since i've posted, and I'm tired of hearing my mom tell me to post something.. So here ya go mom!:)
Right before school started, I got to go to San Fran with some of my best friends! We all got buddy passes for the flight, and we got a deal on the hotel because our old volleyball coach Emrick had a timeshare. Even though we got lucky with those deals, I still spent WAY too much money.. we definitely shopped til we dropped!
I finally got to fulfill my dream and ride on a trolley! But it was only fun for the first few seconds.. until i realized i dont like being squished between a bunch of sweaty people.
There were so many things to do there, it was hard to squeeze it all into the 4 days we were there.
We went to Alcatraz!
I think we had most of our fun on the ferry ride over to alcatraz...
We got a package deal to go to alcatraz and then to angel island, where all the immagrants from Asia came through. Don't go on that tour... most boring tour ever! We drove around on a tram that was breaking down, and didn't see anything but a few buildings. But there was a nice view!
We spent an entire day at ghiradhelli square and fisherman's wharf!
We saw some very interesting people... here are just a few of our favorites.
We watched this guy for like an hour. He made his own little fake bush, then he would jump out and scare people as they walked down the street. He got Lexi! So funny!
We "hiked" up Lombard Street (that was our workout for the week)
We went and did Baptisms at the Oakland Temple. It was beautiful! Pretend I'm not standing like a hunchback...
We found this sign while we were waiting for our ferry..
Lexi apparently has never seen a seagull before... she saw these and said.. "those are like half birds, half ducks!" haha
We had so much fun on this trip! It was fun to pretend we all lived together. But we had to come back to reality... I'll have to start saving up for our next trip!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!
Happy birthday mom! Thanks for putting up with me for all these years. I really don't know how you do everything you do. And I don't know what I would do without you, I would be living in my own filth! haha You are always fun to be around! I am so glad that someone in this house likes to play games every single night with me. You really are my role model/hero (see i listen to our family home evening lessons!). You are always looking for ways to serve people. You are sincere, compassionate, and optimistic in everything you do. Thanks for being one of my best friends. I love you mom!!! Hope you have a great birthday!

Eager/California
For the 4th of July I went up to Eager with Lexi, her family, and my friend Jessica Schmidt. We rode quads, went to the parade, ALMOST went into a dance (but we looked inside and saw only about 3 couples dancing so we left..), saw some fireworks, and went spotlighting/sightseeing! Its sad because lexi's extended family knows me almost better than my own!
Jess Lexi and I at Steven and Kelly's house in Eager where we stayed
At the parade on the 4th!
We found this going through the parade... a headless statue of liberty. I thought that this little town of eager was against America! we were all a little confused at first, but then we realized it had a mechanical head that would go up and down so it didn't run into the power lines.
We got bored one day and decided to walk to the school and play at the park! They had this really tall slide and old-school swings. The slide doesn't look big in the pictures but it was huge!
Lexi's dad woke us up at 4 in the morning one day to go up the mountain and look for elk and deer and wild horses (I wish we hadn's stayed up until 3....) But we saw this cute little bear! and of course lexi threw it some beef jerkey and honey on crackers so it came right up next to our car!
We got out and hiked a little bit to this really pretty waterfall!
Lexi's cousin had this cute little scooter and was nice enough to let us take it for a spin!
This weekend I went to California with Jessica, her family and Lexi. We went to 6 flags and the beach!
So im SOOOOO afraid of heights and deathly afraid of roller coasters, but I actually went on some. But I made a bad decision of going on Tatsu at the beginning of the day. I should have known when the sign said "Fly at the Speed of Fear". I learned my lesson. Actually it ended up being one of my favorites!
We went to mission beach on Friday and it was packed! there were people EVERYWHERE!! Since there wasn't much room in the water, they talked me into letting them bury me. BAD IDEA. I am still finding sand everywhere!
And of course...on the way home we got pulled over right around Yuma. It was pretty funny! since I wasn't driving. Luckily Brian was a cop so we got a warning!
